This is the very first design I created for Sandwich! cards but I didn't print it in my first run because I wanted images that were not occasion-specific. I’m going to have to get it printed soon, though: my son has a particular love for birthdays, birthday cakes and birthday cake candles.

Oh, an exceptional love for singing “Happy Birthday”.

Here’s a design I made for a reminder card.

I’d love to see the card stuck to the front of a similarly overloaded fridge – which would be pretty easy to accomplish since this is our fridge at home.

Saturday Errands

I have very fond memories of Saturdays spent with my dad running errands around town. We’d park near the bank and then walk to each business where my dad would spend time doing whatever it is grown-ups do while I snuck sugar cubes from the "free coffee" table. Here is my reimagining of that – except with owls instead of people and with the action located in Paris instead of Longmont, Colorado. (Hey, aren’t all tributes a little fantastical?)

Of course, the best part of these walks was the surprise. Although, to be honest, my father was never a 2 scoops kind of guy.

Alphabet

My sister wrote an excellent children's book based on the alphabet. Here is an excerpt from that collaboration. These illustrations depict the letters I, D, and L – Ice Cream, Daddy Long-legs, and Ladle.

We'll have to come up with our next project soon.
